SuperAwesome Acquires Spanish Startup, Ad4Kids

SuperAwesome, the largest kids digital ad platform in the world today announced the acquisition of Spanish startup Ad4Kids as part of its continuing international expansion. The company recently opened offices in New York, Sydney and Bangkok.

SuperAwesome’s kidsafe, COPPAcompliant ad platform is used by hundreds of brands such as LEGO, Mattel and Nintendo to safely deliver marketing campaigns to over 200M kids every month across mobile, web and online video.

Ad4Kids, a company based in Spain, operated a kidsafe app promotion network, enabling Android and iOS app developers to introduce their young users to other ageappropriate apps.

“We invested heavily to build a dedicated app network for the kids market. Today we join forces with the market leader to take advantage of the huge growth in demand for kids audiences among leading brands,” commented Javier Angulo Romero, cofounder and CEO of Ad4Kids.

With the addition of Ad4Kids, SuperAwesome further consolidates its position as the world’s leading marketing platform for the youth audience. The company’s AwesomeAds platform is the only ad technology specifically built for the data privacy compliance requirements of the global kids market.

A recent article in the Wall Street Journal highlighted the search by 1 global brands for dedicated digital channels to safely reach the kids market. Currently a $700M market, the growth of platforms such as SuperAwesome and YouTube Kids may triple the size of the sector within the next two years.

SuperAwesome also revealed that Max Bleyleben has joined as COO. Previously Bleyleben was COO with Beamly (backed by Comcast, Viacom, BSkyB and NBCUniversal) and a partner with growthequity firm Kennet Partners (whose investments include GoViral and Spreadshirt).

Ad4kids was founded in 2012,  Last year,  the start-up joined Conector Acceleration Programm with mentors like:  el Serena (Alva House), David Tomás (Cyberclik), Liam Patton and Jaume Ferré (Geenapp).
